About Us:

Your B&B host is Delora Jones, a cookery writer and home cook.  Originally from the US, Delora has lived in Burton since the early 1990s, acquiring an understanding of British English and British history/culture in the process.  

She is happy to cater to special diets (e.g., for coeliacs), but would require sufficient notice to ensure the necessary ingredients are in stock.

Delora opened the B&B in December 2014.  Her cat, The Wallace, graced the B&B from then until 2019, and many guests, including the Tsukomotos from Japan, chose Glencoe House because of The Wallace.  Sadly, The Wallace passed away in January 2019 after a long illness.  He is greatly missed.  

In time, there will be another cat here, but Wallace is a very difficult act to follow.
